Mhairi, 15.1hh, 19y/o.
This is Mhairi, she is a beautiful bay coloured 15.1hh of unknown breed and 19 years old, looking for a companion home. Great nature, good to handle, has no major issues other than being unsound for ridden work but is field sound.

Freya, 15hh IDxISH, 18y/o, liver chestnut mare. Rehomed!
Freya was a challenging horse but over the years has become a lot less challenging, but for this to continue it really is so important that certain things are understood about her and her new owner has a particular training ethos.
Firstly, she must not be ridden. She is very smart and would be excellent at things like horse agility, but riding is not an option.
Freya is a resource guarder. This can be well managed with plenty of every resource being provided in plenty of locations.
She is very assertive – which goes in line with her being smart – and does need her brain exercised. She will push horses out the way if she wants something which is of course normal horse behaviour.
Freya has improved massively with the use of a positive reinforcement approach and R+ training, any resort to traditional handling techniques or natural horsemanship has disastrous consequences, so a future owner has to be an experienced R+ trainer.
Freya lives most happily outside, unrugged, 24/7/365 with access to shelters, she can live in a mixed herd, and is barefoot (this is best for her feet). She can be led easily with a headcollar, loves having her teeth done, is easy for the vet and loads easily too.
She has had a dreadful past so her current owners who are very sadly having to give her up want to make sure she goes to the ideal forever home.

Archer, 10yo 16.3hh TB Ex Racer – Successfully Re-homed!
Archer is a 10 year old ex racer, very laid back and good natured but recovering from a field injury so would need slowly brought back into work before being ridden again. He’s been out of racing roughly 2 and a half years, in the same home since and kept in light work.
HRS are pleased to state Archer found a new home while his owners were pursuing options. We wish archer all the best!

Millie & Poppy – Successfully ReHomed!
